Ishawooa outfitters offer elk hunting in some of the most beautiful and rugged country in the Washakie Wilderness! Most of the elk hunting is done by horseback in which we ride and glass for elk, however there is also time when we need to get close to the elk and we walk. Therefore, it is important that you be in as good of shape as possible.
Talk about exciting, as we have some of the best sheep hunting in all Wyoming! It's not uncommon to see rams while we hunt any of the other species that we hunt right out of our base camp. We hunt several areas for sheep and we do a lot of pre-scouting to best locate the biggest ram possible. Sheep hunting is not only exciting because of the hunt, but it's the best way to see some of the most beautiful country in the world! You are up high and you will see country that is normally only seen while sheep hunting!
Fly Fishing and Spin Cast Fishing is unbelievable as 18" to 22" cutthroat trout are commonly caught. It's not uncommon for a fisherman to catch and release up to 40 to 50 fish a day! We do progressive trips in which we will move to a new spot each day or every other day so that your fishing a new section of the river, stream, or lake as we move. Experience fishing in the famous Yellowstone Meadows, home of the Yellowstone Cutthroat.
