Description:
|
Q Creek is located in the midst of central Wyoming's Shirley Mountains, approximately 65 miles southwest of Casper and 40 miles north of Medicine Bow and the historic Virginian Motel. The elevation ranges from 6,300 to 9,200 feet above sea level. From the higher alpine mountain meadows to red rim-rock canyons to lush grass prairies, Q Creek Ranch has been a haven for cattle, cowboys, wildlife and wildlife lovers alike since the turn of the century.
Q Creek Ranch has long been known for producing many trophy antelope, elk and mule deer. The Boone and Crockett record book entries testify to that. With the increasing herd sizes, hunters have an excellent opportunity to harvest the largest the ranch has to offer.
The Orvis-endorsed lodge is the most recent recreational addition to Q Creek. The 30 lakes on the ranch range in size from a few acres to nearly 100 acres. As a result, the trout are as wild and intense as the animals on the ranch. Pristine water and rich food sources keeps the trout's sizes and numbers to a maximum. The result is an incredible fishery with rainbow, brown, brook, cutthroat, and rainbow-cutthroat hybrid called a cutbow. We can fit success in everyone’s fly fishing experience.
