Switchback Outfitters is based near the Yellowstone Park area of Wyoming and Montana. Our camp is located in the Sunlight Basin of Wyoming, 60 miles northwest of Cody. It is just south of the Montana border and situated in the Shoshone National Forest wilderness. The camp is 5 miles from the eastern boundary of Yellowstone National Park and is located in one of the premiere big game hunting areas in the State of Wyoming. Trophy animals of all species can be found in the Shoshone National Forest wilderness. Our wilderness elk hunting camp is surrounded in all directions by the beautiful Absaroka and Beartooth mountain peaks in Elk Area 51, Wyoming.
Casting your favorite flies, you can revel in the pristine waters of Clark’s Fork River of the Yellowstone. Four different species are ready to challenge you: Brook, Brown, Cutthroat, and Rainbow. Fish can be caught on every cast. In the midst of this spectacular Wyoming environment we feature three to five day adventures for all levels of fishing abilities.
Come with us on a hunt for bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and late season elk that is second to none. Imagine yourself trail riding on a remote private ranch located in the heart of the Absaroka/Beartooth Wilderness surrounded by crystal clear streams and twelve thousand foot mountain peaks.
