Description:

Sandhill Seasons is a family operated business on the Mike Dwyer working cattle ranch in Wheeler County. Partially nestled in the Beaver Valley surrounded by the fascinating "land of contrasts," the Sandhills.
Bartlett, population 130, is located in North Central Nebraska, along Highway 281. Being one of the only two towns in the whole county, you will definitely feel as though you "got away from it all."
Lodging is in a modern two story ranch house with all the conveniences to make your stay a comfortable one. The ranch house is secluded for your privacy although at the heart of the ranch and the activities.
What is unique about us is that we are a "one party booking" which means you have the whole house to yourselves. We don't mix you with other guests. Also all of our land is in one piece. You don't drive miles from the guest house to the field, you practically walk right out the kitchen door. You won't believe the Peace and Quiet!
Guest Ranch
If you plan to visit us as a working ranch you will have many different activities to choose from depending on the time of year you come
Calving from March 15 - May 15
Cattle drive - week of May 10th
Stacking hay June 24 - August 15
Horseback riding, hiking, biking, sandpit fun, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe, sledding, ice skating, trap shooting, horse drawn buckboard rides and much more!
We offer a Continental Breakfast each morning. The Guest House has all the bedding, towels and a fully equipped kitchen for you to bring the food you will need to enjoy your stay. (Food or meals can be arranged if need be.)
We feel we can offer you some great wholesome family fun, for a day or as long as you can stay. This is a great place to invite friends you haven't had time to be with for awhile, family reunions, graduation parties, Thanksgiving dinners, or a romantic getaway for two.
If you come for the hunts, you will be hunting ringneck pheasants on 930 acres of crop and range land. It is approximately 24 miles northeast and south of town. Plan to arrive in the afternoon or early evening to relax, look around, or do some trap shooting. A home-cooked dinner will be served that evening. The next morning about 7:30 a.m., a hearty breakfast will be served before you leave on your morning hunt.
At noon you will eat lunch at the ranch house. At 1:00 p.m. it's back to the fields for an afternoon of more hunting. At the end of your successful day, depending on which package you choose, you will either pack up to go home, or dinner will again be served with the evening yours to enjoy.
The "two night" hunt consists of breakfast the following morning and hunting until noon. The ranch house is furnished with a TV and satellite dish downstairs and a TV and VCR upstairs.
Our season runs from September 1 to March 31. Six pheasants are allowed with the cost but any number can be had at an additional charge. A one night stay described above is $400 and the two night hunt is $575.
Also enjoy hunting deer, coyote, rabbit and prairie chicken. Call or email us for details!
We provide you with a guide and dog although you are welcome to bring your hunting dog if you wish.
To confirm reservations, we require an advance non-refundable deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due at the close of the hunt
