The Mountain view Fly Fishing School is located just 90 minutes from Portland, ME and 2 1/2 hours from Boston, MA in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Half-day and full-day clinics are offered, as well as hourly lessons for those with limited time, for both groups and individuals. Mountain view Fly Fishing will gladly accommodate families and women only programs. Both novices and more experienced anglers will enjoy casting for rainbow trout on a privately owned stocked pond located in Pinkham Notch or for brook trout on a nearby stream.
After participating in a fly fishing clinic, you may want to try out your new skills by fishing for brown trout on the nearby Saco River or for rainbow and brook trout on the Ellis, Wildcat, or Swift Rivers. Weather is quite unpredictible at times, so please come prepared for all types of weather. Sunscreen, sunglasses, raingear, bug spray, and a hat will certainly make your fly fishing experience more comfortable. All equipment and tackle will be provided for classes, but participants are welcome to use their own if desired. Mountainview will be happy to schedule weekday or weekend classes and to suggest accommodations.All lessons are designed according to the individual angler's needs and expectations
