The Pee Dee Region of South Carolina has one of the longest and earliest deer seasons in North America. Deer season begins August 15th while rifle season starts September 1st with doe tags available after September 15th. Deer season runs through January 1st. The two counties that we hunt in have 39-45 deer per square mile. We strive in managing the ENTIRE deer herd, not just the bucks. This leads to more, healthier and bigger deer on our property. Our management plan has been proven successful over the years as deer numbers stay on the rise as well as more mature bucks are being seen and taken off our property.Our hunting property consists of corn, peanuts, and soybean fields, hardwood bottoms, pine thickets and transition areas. We also provide the game with food plots and because of the number of deer we have, we are able to legally feed them as well. This is not allowed in other parts of the Southeast as it is here!
