Southern Illinois offers some of the best trophy whitetail deer hunting in the United States. Illinois ranks fourth in the number of Boones & Crockett bucks. With mixed hardwoods, food plots and agricultural crops, bucks scoring 140 - 160 are not unusual to harvest. We have seen and have had hunters see two bucks that are 190 to 200-inch deer or better. Quality deer management is a very important tool that guarantees deer the opportunity to mature. All hunts are fully guided on Lusk Creek Outfitters owned or leased acreage. Hunts are booked on a first come basis; non-refundable deposits must be received before dates are guaranteed. Weekend two-day hunts are available but limited. At the hunters expense a taxidermist is available to mount your trophy and harvested animals are taken to a processing facility.
