All hunts are conducted on four ranches totaling 20,000 acres of private ground on the Rocky Mountain Front around Augusta, Montana. The ranch has archery zones where no rifle hunting is allowed in any season. This is an excellent chance to take trophy whitetail or mule deer with a bow. These archery areas are open during archery (Sept.) and rifle season (Oct.-Nov.). In September archers can take a trophy whitetail because the bucks are relaxed and have distinct feeding and watering patterns near the barley and alfalfa fields. Every year we take some excellent bucks in the 130 - 160+ class. To ensure better trophies in the future we have changed our deer harvesting requirements as follows: Deer must have a 16 inch spread, be a 4 x 4 and score close to 125 points Boone & Crockett. A $500 fee will be assessed to the hunt for shooting an immature deer. This will hopefully enable us to meet our goal for all hunters to harvest a 150 point B & C whitetail trophy!
We also offer excellent waterfowl hunting. We have a good supply of decoys for waterfowl hunting and two boys that are eager to assist. We do charge $150/hunter/day for all waterfowl using our Decoys. Weather permitting, we have the ideal habitat for waterfowl.
