My name is Capt. Greg Snow and I would be honored to guide you on the light tackle charter fishing adventure of a lifetime. The Rhode Island fishing charters season starts in in early May as the striped bass shoot up Narragansett Bay to feast on herring, bunker, squid and anchovies. The fly fishing and topwater light tackle fishing in Narragansett Bay during May and June can be epic! When the conditions are right 30 or 40 fish per angler are commonplace. Spring fishing on Narragansett Bay is hard to beat.
Come the end of June I am lucky enough to relocate Snowfly Charters out on Block Island. For those that are not familiar with fishing Block Island you are in for a real treat. Mid-June through October is the best time to charter fish Block Island. Some of the most pristine and uncrowded waters surround Block Island. The island is known for it's BIG striped bass. The state record striper of 71 pounds caught on the south side of Block Island in 1980 was crushed with a 75 pound fish just this past August. There are always monster bluefish to be had around Block island. Bluefish will destroy topwater plugs with reckless abandon as well as jump and pull like the insane fish that they are. Block Island is the place to be if you love fishing in Rhode Island.
