Fishing is great in the area! Lake Texoma is known as the "Striper Capital of the World," and is one of a few lakes nationally where the striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species in the lake include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white crappie, black crappie, blue catfish and channel catfish. The Tishomingo National Fish Hatchery with 235-acres to produce warm water fish for the lake is only four miles from downtown
